Rumored to be a descendant of a variety used by the Cherokee Indians, this interesting heirloom tomato has a distinctive look. Medium-large, deep oblong fruit have a pink-purple color inside and out. With a tangy flavor this tomato is perfect addition to a BLT!

Cherokee Purple tend to be a shorter plant growing at 3-4’ tall. Perfect for a container garden. The fruit itself is purple on bottom with green shoulders on top. The top never ripens, so don’t wait to harvest. Best way to tell when a tomato needs to be picked, Feel it. If it has a little give to it, then it’s ready to harvest.
