This ancient grain, grows beautiful black, blue, brown, and white marbled looking seeds. The seeds can be ground into flour or because they are hallow used as beads to make bracelets, prayer necklaces, or rosaries. They can also be used as a food source for birds during the winter months. Plants grow in full sun to part shade. Our plants last year got to be 1 1/2’ tall, however they weren’t planted in a nice spot of the garden and were neglected. They did produce quite a lot of seeds. Harvesting started in late August through October.
Plants are grown in a 4” pot.
